DARMAR Core Winder
and Cutoff Saw
Standard Equipment:
- Two position unwind stand for 60" OD rolls for 2-ply cores
- Single position glue pot stand for cold application glue
- One mandrel supplied in customer specified diameter
- Saw tooth type cutoff saw unit
- Roll off/photo-eye target table
Core winder is constructed of structural steel tubing and steel plate; all structural parts receive industrial wash primer, base primer and topcoat.
- Horizontally mounted dual winding drumheads
- Pneumatic belt tensioning system
- AC variable frequency controller providing variable speed to winding drums
- Easily accessible user-friendly pre-wired operator controls
Core Saw is a stand-alone unit constructed of heavy-duty steel angle and steel plate.
Carriage mounted cutting unit travels on linear bearings and moves with the cores, cutting them in continuous motion, as they are finished. Mechanism retracts at the end of the cut cycle and moves back to start position for a new core.
- Saw tooth type cutoff actuated by photo eye set at desired cutting distance
- Cut length tolerance is +/- 3/16" for continuous production runs at high-speed winder throughput
- Cutting blade directly driven by one single speed high RPM motor
- Pre-wired with plug-in circuit to the main winder unit
- Blade is guarded for operator safety; easily reached hinged access panel is equipped with a micro switch wired to the e-stop to ensure operator protection
Optional Additions:
- Third unwind & additional glue pot stand for 3-ply cores with additional in-feed rollers & turn bars
- Chain conveyor with pickup speed to match output of winder line moving cores up to approximately 8ft. in height, with sensors for indicating a full hopper or trough jam
